Creditors face £3m bill after McGoff & Vickers demise

A historic Liverpool building contractor founded after World War I collapsed owing unsecured creditors nearly £4m as it battled pressure from competitors.
McGoff & Vickers was founded in 1925 by Edward McGoff and George Vickers and provided electrical installation services in Liverpool before opening a second base in London.
Its projects included contracts at Edge Hill University in Ormskirk and Northcliffe House, home of theDaily Mail, in London.
