PM won’t be drawn on Greens, Labor rift
16 Jul 2012
Prime Minister Julia Gillard is still not being drawn on the recent rift between Labor and the Australian Greens.
Greens leader Christine Milne praised Ms Gillard for not criticising the party, on who’s support she relies on for minority government, during a speech to the NSW Labor’s annual conference in Sydney.
But Ms Gillard would not be drawn on Senator Milne’s comments on Monday.
“I’m sure there’ll be plenty of commentary but the speech I gave yesterday was about Labor’s values and Labor’s vision for this nation’s future,” she told reporters in Fremantle.
“It’s a vision about more jobs ….”
